Stop Cleaning Gutters.
Get Guards That Last 20 Years.
We're a registered RainDrop® installer — a premium, USA-made polypropylene guard system backed by a 20-year transferable warranty. We register it in your name at job close. The warranty stays with your home if you sell.
What's Included With Every Guard Job
A guard that doesn't fit, isn't pitched correctly, or leaves gaps at miters and end caps is a guard that fails early. We take our time on the details — every section installed, sealed, and verified before we leave.
- Pre-install gutter cleaning — guards go on clean gutters
- Pitch check and minor adjustment as needed
- RainDrop® panel installation — 7.5" × 36" UV-stabilized polypropylene
- Miters, end caps, and Downspout Clean-Out fittings at every downspout
- Wide Mouth Outlet installation for high-volume storm flow
- Seam and edge sealing at all penetrations
- Full flush test after installation
- Warranty registration in your name within 30 days
- Warranty documentation provided at job close
The Only Gutter Guard Warranty That Stays With Your Home
When we install RainDrop® guards, we register the warranty in your name with the manufacturer within 30 days. You receive documentation at job close. If you sell your home, the warranty transfers to the new owners — it's tied to the home, not to you.
Registered in Your Name
We submit your registration within 30 days of installation and provide confirmation. You're in the manufacturer's system.
20 Years of Coverage
Manufacturing defects and material failures are covered for 20 years. RainDrop guards installed in 2000 are still performing on homes today.
Transferable on Sale
The warranty moves with your home. It's a genuine selling point — buyers don't have to worry about gutter guards for the life of the coverage.
We're on the Approved List
Only registered RainDrop installers can issue this warranty. We're confirmed in the manufacturer's warranty-registration system.
Why We Install RainDrop® — Not the National Brands
We evaluated every major gutter guard system before committing to one. Here's why RainDrop is what we install in the Hickory market.
🌲 Built for Pine Needles
Pine needles are one of the hardest debris types for conventional guards. Many mesh and surface-tension systems fail because needles bridge the gaps and accumulate. RainDrop's perforation geometry and sloped profile handle pine needle shedding — critical in Western NC.
🏗️ UV-Stabilized Polypropylene
The panels are made from UV-stabilized polypropylene that won't fade, crack, or become brittle from sun exposure. This material choice is why panels installed in 2000 are still performing — no warping, no degradation.
💧 Wide Mouth Outlet Design
The Wide Mouth Outlet allows heavy storm volumes — the kind that roll in off the Blue Ridge — to pass without overflow. Standard guards back up under heavy flow and dump water over the front edge. RainDrop doesn't.
🔩 Complete System
RainDrop isn't just a panel — it's a system: miters, end caps, Downspout Clean-Out fittings, and outlets. Every transition point is covered with an engineered component, not a workaround. Gaps at corners are where cheap guards fail first.
🇺🇸 Made in the USA
RainDrop is manufactured in the United States. Supply chain, material sourcing, and quality control are domestic. We stand behind a product we can verify.
📃 The Warranty
Twenty years, transferable, manufacturer-backed. Not a contractor warranty that disappears if we change our name — a manufacturer warranty registered in your name, good regardless of who installed it.
RainDrop® vs. Box-Store Guards vs. Regular Cleaning
Three options for every homeowner. Here's an honest comparison.
| Factor | RainDrop® (Us) | Big-Box Guard | Annual Cleaning Only |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pine needle effectiveness | ✓ Excellent | ✗ Often fails | Clears after the fact |
| Warranty | ✓ 20-Year Transferable | Varies — often none | N/A |
| Transfers on home sale | ✓ Yes | ✗ Usually no | N/A |
| Storm overflow protection | ✓ Wide Mouth Outlet | Limited | Depends on debris load |
| Material longevity | ✓ UV-stabilized polypropylene | Aluminum or foam — degrades | N/A |
| Long-term cost | One-time + occasional rinse | Replacement in 3–7 years | Recurring annual cost |
| Registered installer required | ✓ We're on the list | No installer requirement | N/A |
RainDrop® vs. LeafFilter® vs. LeafGuard® — What's Actually Different
LeafFilter and LeafGuard are the two national names most Hickory homeowners ask about. Both are legitimate products — but the installer model is the real difference, not just the guard itself.
| Factor | RainDrop® (Us) | LeafFilter® | LeafGuard® |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guard type | Perforated polypropylene panel | Micro-mesh over existing gutter | One-piece reverse-curve aluminum |
| Sales model | ✓ Local crew quotes on-site | National dealer network, in-home sales appointment | National franchise, in-home sales appointment |
| Who installs it | ✓ Our own local crew, same company that quoted you | Local licensed dealer/installer network | Local licensed dealer/installer network |
| Pine needle performance | ✓ Engineered specifically for it | Mesh can bridge/clog with fine needles | Reverse-curve depends on correct pitch |
| Warranty administration | Manufacturer-registered, we handle it directly | Company-administered | Company-administered |
| Follow-up service | ✓ Same local number you called for the estimate | Routed through national call center | Routed through national call center |
We're not saying LeafFilter or LeafGuard are bad products — both are established national brands. The tradeoff is the sales and service model: a national in-home-appointment company vs. a local crew you can call back directly. We chose RainDrop because it's a strong pine-needle performer we can install, warranty, and service ourselves, without routing you through a call center.
How We Install RainDrop® Gutter Guards
A guard that's installed carelessly won't perform correctly — even a premium product. We follow a consistent 5-step process on every job.
Free On-Site Estimate
We measure your linear footage, assess your gutter condition, note your tree canopy, and give you a fixed written price. No pressure, no "sign today" discounts — the price is the price.
Pre-Install Gutter Cleaning
Guards installed over debris trap the debris permanently. We clean and flush every run before touching a guard panel, and sewer-jet any downspout that won't drain. This is included in every install — not an add-on.
Panel Installation & System Components
RainDrop panels are installed section by section. At every miter, corner, and end cap we use the engineered RainDrop system component — not a silicone glob. Wide Mouth Outlets are installed at each downspout.
Flush Test
After all panels are in, we run water through the full system to verify flow rate, downspout clearance, and that no panel edge is creating a diversion. We don't leave until water flows correctly.
Warranty Registration & Documentation
Within 30 days of installation we submit your warranty registration to the RainDrop manufacturer and provide you the confirmation. You receive written documentation of the warranty at job close.
